On the Road?
by Elizabeth Parker

When away from home with your baby, keep in mind that most environments are not baby-proofed and many adults don't know the basics of baby safety, so pay special attention to potential hazards. Stay near your baby at all times while she is playing in a baby pool or tub; babies can drown in as little as a few inches of water. If your mother-in-law wants to drag an old crib out of the attic for your visit, suggest that you simply use the crib mattress on the floor; older cribs may not meet the current safety standards.
