Water, Water

Water is vital for nutrition, helps keep you cool during exercise and nourishes your skin - which is why drinking at least eight glasses of water a day (more if you're nursing) is one of the easiest ways to feel and look your best. Caffeinated drinks like colas and coffee are dehydrating.

Caffeine-free sodas may seem like a smart alternative, but they are often high in sodium, which can dry you out in the long run. juices are fine in moderation, but these are high in sugar and calories. If you're exercising, you need to get even more H20 than usual - about 3-6 ounces for every 15 minutes you work out. It's not enough to drink just when you're thirsty. By the time you feel parched, you're already dehydrated.
