Even after your baby is born, be sure to get 1,000 milligrams of calcium a day, the amount all women between the ages of 19 and 50 need. Most women come up short, and pregnancy and breastfeeding draw on your body's calcium stores. Good sources: milk, yogurt, fortified orange juice, hard cheeses, almonds and supplements.
