15 True Mom Confessions

We love these real confessions from Romi Lassally and the moms at Truemomconfessions.com, who put out a book filled with more of these funny, poignant, and painfully true declarations.

Can you relate to these? And do you have any of your own mom confessions? If so, leave them in the comments below.

As told by real moms…

MOM CONFESSION: My son knows he’s not allowed downstairs until 9 AM. He wakes up, calls down to let me know he’s awake, goes potty and then climbs back in bed with a few toys. Reason why? He’s been told that between 8 AM and 9 AM, Mommy’s fighting the monster that lives in the laundry basket.

  1. I sometimes fantasize of being hospitalized, so I can have 3 meals a day served to me, no visitors if the sign is posted, I wouldn’t have to allow phone calls, I could take a shower without being disturbed, heck I could even go to the bathroom without being bothered and if it was something more serious, then maybe my teenagers would show some remorse for the way they talk to me (I have 6 kids, 3 of which are teenagers).

  2. These are horrible… I can’t imagine thinking any of this stuff especially fantasizing about my husband’s life insurance money and being glad about having a miscarriage. Very disturbing..

  3. OMG, I was JUST fantasizing about the divorce one last night. That is too funny.

Shanna, I’m glad that you have a 50% partner that helps you so much that you don’t need to think things like this. I think you’re probably in the minority.

  4. I kind of like it when my husband is out to sea. If he’s not here, then I can’t feel resentful that he isn’t doing more with our child.

  5. I am so glad that I am not alone in feeling that my husband does not pull his weight in raiseing our child, even though he is the one who wanted a child. I do love my husband. I do not fantasize about his demise, but I oftern fantasize about leaving him and moving to where my family is and starting a new life with support and new freedom. I agree with Kim. Lack of support is a very serious thing. It is worst when you are married, becasue you are a single mom who just happens to be married. You get less help from people because they figure you have a husband. :(
