Use our handy checklist - based on the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended schedule for immunization.

Starting this fall, flu shots will be recommended for 6- to 23-month-olds. Previously, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention only encouraged this, but recent studies show that this age group has a higher risk of being hospitalized because of the flu and is more prone to developing pneumonia. Although infants under 6 months old are also at risk, the vaccine isn't approved for them. Instead, parents should keep them away from infected people and insist that household members and caretakers be vaccinated.
